PokéDex Information: Recoil Surface is a pokemon ability found mostly in Rock Types. It makes the ground inflict little bit of damage everytime a pokemon is sent out.
Ability name: Recoil Surface
Pronunciation: Re-coy-ul Sur-fiss
Moon Forest regional ability #: 2
Special name: Snapping Floor
Classification: Rock Type Ability
Ability Effect:
A pokemon with the Recoil Surface ability can make the ground so rough that every time the trainer sends out a new pokemon, it gets a small amount of damage done to it. The floor/ground gets pointy bumps as well as a rocky layer making damage inflict from the legs to the rest of the opponent's body. This is mostly found in Rock Types because, they themselves have the roughest bodies and are able to make their surroundings more natural to themselves. Making it a harder advantage for other pokemon besides Rock Types. Though Steel Types have the strongest resist yet they still are effected.
History/Background:
The Recoil Surface ability started in times with the Pespok evolutions. The shocker is the fact that Pespok does not have this ability. Only Jakbakken and Wilkelmia have it. In books and legends it says it is simply because Pespok didn't have an advanced appetite as monstrous as Jakbakken and Wilkelmia did.Well, their rock appetite anyway. It started when Pespok, Jakbakken, and Wilkelmia were eating rock material and other rocky things. Considering people think it was because Pespok didn't eat as much, it wasn't on the mountains as much. As if Jakbakken and Wilkelmia did, their feet have the Recoil Surface ability. Though the true identification of the Recoil Surafce ability remains in a sense, unknown.
Usual percent of being found in a Pokémon: 47% found in pokemon.
