Zelda's head went up when she heard a voice from outside the house. It was a nice morning, so they had the windows open, any sound outside audible. She set Spike back down, and hurried to the window, short dress fluttering in the breeze outdoors. Zelda put her head out of the window, and looked around for the person that went along with the voice. She couldn't see anyone.
"Hello? Anyone out there?" she called. The girl frowned, and put herself back inside. "I wonder who it is..." Zelda shrugged, then stuck her head out the window again. She leaned out the windowsill, her body down to her waist outside. "Hello? Is anyo--Aaah!" Zelda let out a cry. She had leaned over a little too far, and tumbled out the window to the earth below.
The girl slowly got up, hand on the side of the house for support, and rubbed her backside, now stained by the dirt. She giggled a little, then yelled up to her family inside, "I'm okay!"

Fortunately just after she had shouted at the sky, Chip realized her situation.
-flashback-
" Cripes!" She looked rapidly around for a hiding place. Then she looked up. A smirk spread across her face. " Perfect."
-/endflashback-
So when Zelda looked outside she was still there, just above her. Literally, she was wedged up between the rafters of the roof hanging over the window. Heaven knows how she managed that, she herself wasn't sure how.
Maybe all those ninja training videos she ordered over the internet were worth it after all.

David had taken an incredibly long shower (at least in his terms), hoping to prolong the moment when he would see Josh again. But alas, hot water only stays hot for a short amout of time. Yet another thing for Josh to get angry about, no hot water. With a sigh the boy stepped out and started to dry himself incredibly fast before grabbing his backpack that was filled with clothes. After dumping all of it's contents on the floor the boy started to go through and pick out what he would wear that day.
After maybe 5 minutes David came out, wearing black skinny jeans, a rather tight pink shirt, a black jacket, and black converse with pink laces. Hearing a shriek, the boy glanced around, immediately recognizing Zelda's voice. His hair and nails would have to wait. Zelda was in trouble. In his haste he nearly tripped down the stairs to his death, but luckily he caught the banister in time. "I'm coming Zelda!" he yelled before rushing out the door to find her laughing. Maybe he had missed something. "I heard you yell." David said rushing over to her, a worried expression on his face. "Are you okay?"
Spike let out a whine when Zelda put him down and immediately ran out the door. He did not want to be left there with an angry Chloe. As if to prove her point Chloe got up and chased the little puppy out the door, leaving a trail of pancake batter all the way to the door. "And stay out." she barked before waddling back inside to Sarah. Running behind David, Spike whined. All he had done was lick her tail!

Meanwhile still forcing herself to stay up in the rafters, chip watch the arrival of the newcomer.
" Ay. He's not in this family.. He's uh... Oh cripes. It's on teh tip of meh tounge.... Ronald Mcdonald? Eh, close 'nuff. What's he doin here? Don't he have anuvver family and house? What he doin stalkin this place? What a creep."
Those were quite some thoughts for one who was playing spy just outside someone else's house.
" Agh me limbs ache.."

Zelda swapped her support, and put a hand on David's shoulder to steady herself. She shook her head, grinning. "I'm fine. I just... heard someone out here and went to look and..." She made a tumbling motion with her free arm, and let out a little giggle. "Don't worry, I don't think I broke anything."
The brunette sighed. "I just wish I found who it was that made the noise. I'm positive I heard something. Do you think I'm hearing things?" Zelda asked, turning her head to him.

"I'm sure you aren't crazy Zelda. I probably would have heard it if I hadn't been in the shower." he said with a grin before wrapping his arm around her waist again and kissing her cheek. "And I usually know when people are crazy. I've dated a few myself." He chuckled before looking around. "I can't see anyone though, so whoever was outside here left." Finally noticing Spike, David let go of Zelda and picked up the puppy. "Now, what's got you all scared?" he asked as he gently scratched behind the German Shepard's ears.
Spike snuggled into David's arms, yipping every now and then to try and tell the boy how mean Chloe had been to him and that he had just licked her tail. But of course, David just thought it was cute and continued to pet him.

Her cheeks flushed bright pink when his lips touched her face. She pretended to brush some dirt off her face while trying to rub the redness from her cheeks. Stupid blushing... I wish I could control it... Zelda let go of David's shoulder, and managed to stand alone.
"Uhmm...Okay." she said awkwardly, grinning. "Let's get back inside, hmm?" Zelda put her hands on her hips, and stretched her back, looking up, and seeing...a person? She gasped, then scowled. "Hey! You!"

" Oi, already. Can't these people leave? I dunno how much longa I can stay up 'ere." Chip was beginning to sweat. She wouldn't be able to stay up there forever.Time to improvise and see if that kit she ordered was also useful.
and beside one of them had spotted her, Time to blow this popsicle.
Using a shrill indian like war whoop. She pulled a smoke bomb from her pocket and threw it down in between them. Hopefully the impending chaos could grant her escape.

Zelda let out a small cry, and flinched as the smoke bomb hit the ground and a smog began to encase them. She opened her eyes, but couldn't see a thing, and began to cough. "What in the--cough--world? Cough, cough. David?" She put her hands out, groping for him. "I can't see anything!' The girl coughed again.

"I'm here." David said while trying to keep back a cough. Walking towards the direction of her voice, he finally found Zelda and grabbed her, hugging the girl tightly. "I think that maybe we should get out of here." he muttered in her ear before starting the way that he thought was back towards the house, but was in fact the opposite way.
In all the confusion David had accidentally dropped Spike, who ran around like a lost puppy, unsure of where to go. Eventually he made it into the house, but upon seeing Chloe he yelped and ran straight for Zelda's bedroom and hid under the bed. Unluckily for him there was already someone under the bed. Felco.

Zelda breathed a sigh of relief when David found her, and hugged back quickly. She found his hand, and followed his lead, nearly stumbling over Spike. She was still confused about the girl who threw the smoke bomb. I wonder why she did that? she thought, slightly annoyed. I need to figure out who that was... Maybe David knows? And what was she talking about earlier? Spy bot? Ugh, not another weirdo as a neighbor. Haha. Not saying that David is a weirdo... Well, okay, he can be. She was too busy in her thoughts that she barely noticed the smoke starting to clear.

Sarin had run (well, walked hastily?) to the window when her unfortunate sister had somehow fallen out of it. However, she only got a quick view of Zelda and David before there was a sudden puff of smoke, startling her - it wasn't something that a fire would make, and she hadn't seen the source. Maybe Zelda had tripped and fallen into some soot or something? It wouldn't be unlike her. But no, the smoke kept rising; it wasn't soot.
As the smoke cleared around Zelda, it rose up towards Sarin's window... some snaked over the frame and crept upwards... right into the fire alarm. And of course, the idiotic fire alarm couldn't distinguish a little bit of smoke from a raging inferno. Sarin's eyes were full of a dumbfounded apprehension as she watched the smoke collect by the roof, almost as if the world were slowing down.
A moment later, that previous, long moment was split by the shrill shriek of the infernal (haha xD) device. Sarin clasped her hands to her ears, hoping someone would thrown brick at the thing or something. And she couldn't remember if the detector called the fire department or not - well, if it did, maybe Mira had gotten herself stuck in a tree, anyway.
***
Mira was not in a tree, although she had been considering climbing one the moment before. However, when the alarm went off, she and the onlooking Twyla bolted into the house, up the stairs, and found a comfortable place to cower under Sarin's bed.
(Burr can do stuff later. >>)

Hearing the siren, David let go of Zelda's hand to cover his ears. "If there was a real fire than that would be useful." he muttered before noticing the smoke was clearing. "Hey, I found the house!" he yelled grabbing Zelda's hand again and running towards the house, forgetting that the loud alarm was even louder in the house.
