They were almost there. Just maybe a few steps more and the lab would be right in front of them. Problem was, the youngest was tired and slumped down, landing on her knees and hands. She just couldn't take it anymore! They had been walked for what seemed like days. But in fact, it was only about an hour. The hot sun made it seem like longer though, and Sakura would often exaggerate. "Nii-san!! How much longer till we finally get there?!!" she cried out. Hiro stopped walked and turned around to face the younger twin. Gosh she could be such a pain sometimes! "C'mon Saku-chan! The sooner we get there the better! You do want your very own starter don't you?" he asked the girl. Her ears perked up at the word "starter." That's why they were there in the first place. Sakura jumped back up and rushed pass her brother. "Alright then! Let's get this party start right!!"
The two stood at the door of the lab, neither knowing what to do. Hiro fiddled around with the strings from his black hoodie out of nervousness. Underneath, he wore a white short sleeved blouse with a black tie and jeans. He decided to wear sneakers since it was going to be a long journey. Unlike his brother, Sakura decided to wear one of her favorite lolita dresses just for the occasion. This one had buttons all the way up the collar with a bow right in the middle. The collar was split in half and looked like one of those white table mats you would put on a coffee table. The white cuffs of the black dress made the short sleeves puff out a bit. There was a frilly pattern at the bottom of the dress. And it ended right at her knees. Her white socks reached up the thighs, but you wouldn't be able to tell thanks to the dress. Sakura's low heel Mary Jane's were scuff free and polished this morning. Oh, nothing makes you feel better than the clothes that make you feel comfortable. Let's just hope her clothing aren't a hassle while traveling.
Not knowing whether to knock or what, Hiro just stood there, staring blankly at the door. 'Maybe I should knock and go from there...' the boy thought as his fist began to reach for the door. Instead, Sakura had a better idea. Her hand was already on the handle and twisted it so the door would open. And click! The deed was done. A giggle came from the girl as she slipped inside. Hiro couldn't believe his eyes. What in the world was his little sister doing? Of course he followed her in and stayed close to her side, just case something were to happen. "Hello? We're here to get our starters!!" Sakura cried out in the obviously empty room. Hiro shook his head and let out a sigh. "So much for being smooth..."

The term "hectic" could describe that day's events perfectly. Why would one of their top breeders even /consider/ handing them off so many different species of Pokémon to handle? Not just in appearance but type. They had everything from a Poison-type to a Normal-type racing around the building. Each one had been separated into their own bubbles to chill the frustration, but not even this had kept the lab assistants at bay, let alone the regal and profound Professor Cherrywood. They should have been working on research and defying the laws of nature, but no - instead they were babysitting so Poochyena didn't eat the adorable Skitties in the next room. Which they seemed to almost succeed at when biting the assistant keeping them company and nearly escaping.
'Why do I get stuck at the front again?' the teenager thought, though about older to be considered a young adult. Dressed in a normal red shirt and blue jeans she didn't appear to be much of a lab assistant, but she was with all due respect. It was precautionary to keep the lab coat from catching dirt or dust with all the work with the new starters. Her dark eyes scanned the rooms in the hallway; noises coming from everywhere buzzed off the walls. Hungry pants and scatters, angry barks and chortled frees of freedom - the works. But she, Kelsey, couldn't be a part of that in the back or outside where the Flying-types were able to roam the skies. She was on the duty in front to help those new trainers that would thank any form of the moon take these creatures off them. Being in the front wasn't her exactly favorite activity - she'd rather be feeding the Poochyena right now, but there wasn't much choice since it was her shift. She didn't know how much longer she could last with all these noises every day; she was on the edge.
"Marill, Marill!" a happy cry came from the blue water-bunny Pokémon in her arms. Poking it in the forehead she mentally sighed; at least she had a Pokémon next to her to keep her company. She sat in a red chair in the middle of the hallway to the door, leaned back and relaxed its recliner. Maybe someone would come along soon and ease her boredom. However, as soon as she thought this a sudden click at the door caught her attention, which wasn't remotely hard to miss in her position. She sighed lightly, leaning forward with a rushed kick to the recliner to shift it downward and stood up, startling the Marill who let out a protested yell, and started towards the door.
"Hello?" she called, rounding the corner to the door, now setting her eyes upon the person - or persons - who had fell on the floor in her rush to get there. Blinking slightly she stared down at the two rather odd twins, and remembered to greet them. "Hi, welcome to the lab."

Sakura looked around as she could hear noises come from various places. She could distinguish the different cries of the Pokemon that were coming from a room. She tried to hold back a squeal but couldn't help it, and let it out. "Aren't you excited nii-san?! Today, we start our journey together! I wonder what starters there are!" Sakura cried out. Hiroyuki patted his twin's head. Why did she have to get overly excited about things? "Ahh. Hana-bozu. You have to be patient" he told her with a smirk. He knew what would be coming next.
Before she could smack him behind the head, the girl looked over in the direction of footsteps. Ohh! Someone was coming! With a goofy smile on her face, Sakura looked up at what seemed to be a teenager. Maybe a few years older than them but still a teenager. "Oh! Hello! I'm Sakura Fujimura. And this is Hiroyuki Fujimura! We're here for our starters!" she told the young lady with a giggle. Hiro let out a sigh and gave himself a facepalm. "Please excuse her. You don't know how excited she's been these past few days...."

Slightly surprised by the enthusiasm literally vibrating from Sakura Kelsey blinked twice rapidly, and smiled. The Marill tried to reach its stubby arms out, waving them in the air. "Hi, I'm Kelsey. I'm one of Professor Cherrywood's assistance." She guested back at the door. "It can be very exciting to get your starter, so its very understandable. Did you see the sign outside that had all the Pokémon pictures on it?"

Sakura was too busy staring at the cute little Marill instead of listening to the assistant. Who could resist someone, because she likes to consider Pokemon as people, who was blue, round, and cute?! She began to play with the Pokemon's little arms and giggled. Hiro shook his head at his sister but couldn't help but crack a small smile. He had to admit, his sister did make him laugh. Once in awhile at least. "Yes, we saw the picture. Well, at least I did. I'm not so sure about her though...." he told Kelsey as he crossed his arms. Sakura stopped playing around with the Marill and looked at her brother. "There was a picture with the starters and you didn't even tell me?!!" she cried out, waving her arms in the air. "I thought you saw it already! That should be the first thing you see when we got here!"
"How could I?! You knew I miss stuff like that!"
"Then why are you still here?! Go back outside and look at which starters are still available!"
"Fine!
"FINE!"
Hiro let out a heavy sigh as Sakura slammed the door behind her. He ran his hand through his hair before realizing that Kelsey was right there. What in the world did she think of them now? "Sorry about that. We tend to get into small spats like that. Very rare though" he told her with a nervous laugh after. They probably scared the poor Marill while they were at it. Sakura came back in after a few minutes, a proud smile on her face. "I've made my decision~! I would like a Skitty!" she told Kelsey. "And I think I'll go with the Poochyena, thank you very much."
(( Can you make the Skitty want Hiro and the Poochyena want Sakura please? I think that would be mucho fun! xDD ))

Kelsey merely blinked, amazingly hearing the noise of their "spat" above the Pokémon upheaval in the the back. At least it had been pushed out for a half of a second. After the argument ended and Sakura went outside, Marill cried out in the sudden yelling spree by the two, and started to cry. That's all Kelsey needed. She patted its head, but it didn't stop. "Sure . . . just after she stops crying."

Sakura and Hiro blinked in unison as they glanced between each other and Kelsey. Something told them that this awkward moment was expected already. All they needed now was for- Oh! There it was! The tiny shrill that came from the Marill! Hiro could feel his eyebrow twitch in annoyance but it was Sakura who decided to take some action. The girl lifted the Marill from Kelsey's arms and into the air. "There there! There's no need for crying! Our little spat's over!" she said softly to the Pokemon. Hiro smiled at Sakura and nodded. Hopefully that'll calm down the poor thing.
ooc:// Gahh. Sorry for the shortness. Couldn't think of anything else! x]];;;

Kelsey frowned slightly at the attempt to cheer the little Marill. Honestly, she liked small Pokémon, but she wasn't a fanatic for them - it fact, she was still trying to think of a way to calm it down when Sakura took it and held it in the air. That particular Marill was sensitive to loud noises, which had been the reason for her to hold it away from the others - though they didn't help all too much. Maill would still flinch every so often and try to escape, but it was better than letting her near the doors of all the various other types in the laboratory.
Marill continued to cry for another minute, little pinpricks of blue tears falling on the ground. Slowly her sobs ceased, but she still seemed upset. "Marill, mar!" Suddenly she picked up her head and did something to vent her anger. A blue trail of water formed at the back of her throat, and in a single moment she shot it at the male twin, probably much to his displeasure.

Sakura grinned at the Marill as she stopped crying. So she finally managed to help a Pokemon in need! The girl felt accomplished for probably the first time in her life, besides her getting a perfect grade on that one test but that didn't really count! But her smile soon disappeared as she watched the Marill's facial expression turn from sad.... to upset? That was both fast and weird. "Uhh. Sakura? I'd think it'd be wise if we let the Marill be and-" was all Hiro said before having water being splashed against his face. Apprantly, Sakura had turned half way around, leaving an opening for a direct hit on Hiro's face.
The boy lowered his head down as cool, drops of water fell down to the ground. His body began to lightly shiver and that only meant one thing. He was trying to calm down and make sure he wouldn't explode with anger. Sakura held the Marill in her arms as she face her brother with a worried look on her face. She could relate to this situation, since she's usually the cause it. "Nii...-san?" she asked, her brother still shivering. Then out of nowhere, Hiro reached out and grabbed the Marill, hold her a few inches away from him. His head was still facing down so no one could see his entire face. His head popped up, a goofy grin on his wet face. Hiro managed to control his anger and decided to put it aside. Living with Sakura did help a lot. "Well aren't you a little cutie!" he chimed in a loving tone. Sakura couldn't understand what just happened but oh well! No use asking questions. If she did, Hiro would've probably taken it out on her. And that wouldn't have been a good thing at all.
Sakura giggled as she took the Marill from her brother's hands and placed her in Kelsey's arms. "Now that that's done and over with, let's get on with the starters. Or else Hiro would grow impatient!" she told her while nodding, as if stating a fact. Hiro didn't mind at all but he did pat his sister's head with a heavy hand, making Sakura wince after every pat. "Ahh. Always the charmer Saku-bozu!"

Shocked by the Marill's actions, Kelsey imagined subconciously how all the other assistants were doing with their charges. She was talking care of just one Pokémon, a small blue bunny Pokémon, but they were taking care of two or more. Kelsey already knew well what burdens that could have on someone - they all loved the Pokémon and working with them, but nerves could only go so far. It too bad that this particular Marill was the type that one really couldn't hate. Marill blinked at Hiro and Sakura slightly, now calm after its little fit. After being handled in the process to Kelsey, who instantly wanted to scold it, she knew it would start crying all over again. Marill suddenly yawned and closed its eyes, leaning its head on her arm, and seemed to forget about what just happened. "Ah," Kelsey mumbled, looking up. "Sorry about that . . . I guess it's not much water." She turned around and started walking down the hallway. "This way."
