( Ahem this going to the home thread for my fanfic.
It's going to be written mostly in first person, from the perpesctive of a newly morphed highschooler, and her adventures on a kickbutt awesome pokemorph team.....
Yeah I'm not so good on descriptions. Hopefully my writing will be better at explaining and you won't have a million questions.
Anyway, I'd love it if you were to comment and correct my grammer mistakes because I know there are some. But flaming the fic in general won't effect much. I know it's probably terrible and I need work, it even took me a lot of courage to write this put and post it somewhere. Be gentle please. =/
Anyway on to the prolouge. =D
EDIT: I'm sorry I haven't updated this. I was wrestling with a character. Trying to work out the kinks and set a definite plot outline for this thing, has taken me awhile not to mention I'm somewhat lazy. I hope to have the first chapter up within the next couple of weeks. Hey, I got a name down at least!)

Pokemorph Overview
05:37 am, October 7th
Greetings, this is my entry and maybe someday report on of the growing number of occurrences dubbed the 'poke morphs'. I hope to clear up some fables, and add some little known facts to the basic knowledge of what or should I say who a poke morph is. I will go over how, and why they are created , as well as the effects and aftermath of becoming one. Additionally I will briefly cover the poke morph's reception, and exploitation. Let's get this entry started.
Now I will dismiss the theory of injecting the DNA of a pokemon into a human being. Think of the last time you were badly bitten by a pokemon. Did you gain the features of said pokemon? I seriously doubt it, for I once lost a chunk of my leg to an extremely agitated houndoom, and let me tell you that I could not breathe fire and a tail didn't magically appear on my backside. Unfortunately the real reason why people sometime gain those attributes are still unclear, and though I can not tell you exactly how they become one, I can give you a rundown of the basic scenario.
Stress is the key word here. Stress and the instinct to survive. ‘To continue living.’ ‘The fear of death.’ There are many ways to describe it, but actually experiencing it for real is a different story. Totally having no doubt in your mind that you are dead, but still having the will, the hope, the utter desire to survive, that's the main trigger. I know, I've heard of other amazing survival stories, with no mention of poke morph transformation, but it is rare happening, and all of those feeling together have to happen at the same time for even a hundredth of a chance of it happening. There is also another factor in this equation, extreme emotion, desires, or needs. It sounds the same, I realize but there are some subtle differences. The need of adventure, deep depression, remorse/shame, the want to be more powerful, the desire to be helpful, freedom, and other such things also play in. They also play into which pokemon they gain the attributes of but I will get into that more later on. They are also extremely rare cases of not having a life death experience at all. They almost never happen and there are only a handful in the world. Still it is worth mention as yet another mystery that poke morphs offer.
The abilities, and appearance of poke morphs are diverse and innumerable. You can two of the same type of poke morph and they have completely powers. This also depends on the personality of said person, but as I said earlier, I will go over later on. The most noticeable part about a poke morph are the occasional sighting of the pokemon's attributes on the person. I will now note that a poke morph can look perfectly human some of the time, have a few attributes of a pokemon the next minute, and then be a full pokemon. For example take the houndoom I mentioned a little while ago. If I was a houndoom morph I would first off have a new orange red tint to my eye color. It would intensify on my current mood, and situation, and some remnants may even still remain if I was in normal form. My hair might also turn darker, and even have a few black streaks to it. The most noticeable part, though would be the transformation of my ears, and growth of a new tail. Fangs might appear, bones might grow and deform into the necklace or collar usually seen on a houndoom, the possibilities are almost endless, but it will stay in that one pokemon features. There is no such thing as a double morph, and I'm pretty confident there never will be. It would be to much for one body to handle, and the said person would probably shut down. Also a constant in the poke morphs appearance is the appearance of a small marking. A birthmark or tattoo type thing, it usually appears a small symbol, of the pokemon where one might expect to find it. For example for me it'd probably be the skull centerpiece of the houndoom collar, most likely set at where the neck meets the body. While in this half form, they have access to most of the moves known by that pokemon, depending on experience much like regular pokemon.
There is a risk to poke morphs though. They transform into the pokemon mostly at will, and gain more of the attributes and appearance of one when upset in half form. Letting the instinct of the pokemon take over is also a pretty effective tool for survival, but there is draw back to all of this: losing your sanity. You see the more time they spend as a pokemon, and listen to those instinct the more the start to take over. Combining that with the strong emotion and will of said person the more likely it is for them become a full pokemon and never turn back. When in this state it is almost impossible to reach said person, as their body and emotions are in such turmoil that logic is no longer applied to their actions. While is not impossible for them to come back, the best chance of this happening is within 36 hours of instincts taking over. The longer it goes on, the slimmer the chance of their personalities, memories and humanity is remaining. The risk is less than pleasurable and applies to all morphs, but this usually only happens to those who are new to being a poke morph, or who's pokemon has a famed temper or nature.
Personalities effect which pokemon they bond to, as well as their new appearance and abilities. While usually the personalities are quite similar to the type of pokemon turn into, there are some case of opposites. Some person may absolutely hate bugs in general and become a Venomoth. The only restriction appears to be legendary pokemon. As there are one of kind becoming one would be impossible, because then there would more than one. There are legends of a Uber taking over a person as a puppet, but as there is no solid proof or data on this subject, the chance of it happening is considered as next to null Sometimes the even reflect their former talents. For example, a martial artist might receive a fighting type such as Hitmonchan, Riolu, or Medicham.
Pokemorph usually try to keep their 'condition' to themselves. This usually succeeds, for since the appearance of the poke morph usually stays the same, and the only time the ear and etc pop out is when they want it to, or a stressful situation appears. This is very unfortunate for all the jumpy morphs out there who get nervous at almost everything. Extreme relaxation, or anger also seem to trigger the transformation. It can be hindrance to those who have loose reign over their emotions, and some are embarrassed about even being a morph. The main reason for their secrecy is the poke instinct of hesitation and, again, survival.
Another main and pretty good reason is the mixed reception of the poke morph. Some think they're freaks with no place in this world, other see them as a tool to grow stronger, other pity and think that they are incapable of most things when there are entirely capable of doing everything we can and then some. I'm afraid to say however most who have an interest in them are usually seeking personal gain, enter the teams and gangs. The teams, Rocket especially, have been known to kidnap people off the street and perform painful tests on them, in an attempt to make a Pokemorph. In the case of failure to get the right type, or data they dump them out on the street again. I classify these poor folks as the artificial morphs, though they have all the powers of regular one. It's better than calling them a 'team' morph, trust me.
Some morphs even start some gangs and teams of their own. Some of them are good, while some are bad, and still others are indifferent to the world. It all depends on their mental state and personalities. On that note the have been reports of a small group of morphs around the Kanto area, messing with Team rocket and its programs while also striving for some other objective. While I am mostly indifferent to vigilantes and their business, I think I will keep my eye on this group, if only for my research.
