David's Coming, On A Jet Plane!

Just relax, they aren't going to find you. Just breath, you'll soon get off the plane. All through the plane flight David had been trying to hid the fact that he had black claws, Persian ears, tail, and jewel, and that he had light tan fur. Of course all of the abnormalities didn't escape the eyes of everyone on the plane, but at least no one commented on it. Though one little kid had pulled his tail. Over all it hadn't been nearly as nerve racking as David had thought it would be.

As he stepped off the plane David clutched his backpack closer to his chest. And why did he have to dress like he did? Before the operation he had already had enough stairs because of the way he dressed. Kids asked him if he was a girl or boy, since boys didn't have medium length hair and boys didn't wear pink. Or, normal boys didn't. Normal boys didn't dye their amazing blond hair black and paint their nails black. But then again, David wasn't a normal boy. Before becoming a PokeMorph David loved the fact that he hadn't been normal. Now the boy didn't want anything else than to blend in with the crowd. To not be a freak.

Slowly he made his way towards the exit, eyes darting left and right. "Just relax David. You left Team Rocket all the way back in Hoenn and Kanto. They won't find you here." he muttered. But those words didn't comfort him at all. Around every corner the boy thought he would see Jacob, the scientist who had bean working on him, jump and stick him in the side with a huge needle. The thought of having to go through with that made David shiver.

Emma had never been on a plane before, and had preferred it over going by boat. She enjoyed watching the clouds under her and right beside her, knowing if she could open the window, she could reach out and touch one, and feel the water droplets on her hand. The journey on and off the plane, though, was another story. She only had her backpack, so a nice man, maybe twenty years old, asked if she wanted to keep her backpack with her on the plane ride, and she agreed...until he started to hassle her. She escaped from him, and decided to just bear with not having her pack with her on the plane. She watched her backpack go down the conveyor belt, her precious Buneary plushie which she had since she was two inside, along with some money and clothes and a few other things.

At departure, she couldn't find her backpack. The poor girl was sobbing in the airport, flipping out, checking if people around her accidentally got hers. An airport employee helped her look, and when it wasn't found, they went into a back room and sitting there was her dull blue backpack. Emma had forgotten to label it with her name. She hugged the employee and thanked them a thousand times before leaving the airport.

She hurried through the crowd, people yelling at her, but she was oblivious to them. Her feet started to hurt, her white sandals giving her blisters. Finally, as if a oasis in the desert, there was the registry building. The girl cried out with joy, as others stared, and ran inside. Emma paused, feeling a pulsing pain in her heel. She was out of breath, and when she removed a sandal, she saw that one of her blisters had popped. Emma winced, and put her foot back down. The girl saw a...person (unsure of their gender) in front of her, and decided to ask for a band-aid.

"Umm, excuse me?" Emma asked, gently tapping them on their shoulder, "Might you have a band-aid I could use?"

[Basset]

David jumped about 5 feet when the girl tapped his shoulder. "Um... not on me, no." he muttered turning around to face her. She was kinda pretty, and if David had been his old self he would probably have started flirting with her. But not now. "But I think that the front desk might have some. I could go ask." Brushing a piece of black hair out of his face, David glanced down at his hands and sighed. Maybe in Moon Forest there was a way to reverse what had been done to him. Maybe.

ooc: Sorry for the shortness. xD And don't you love my title? I think that's going to be my song for whenever I have to leave for trips. And it just fit with David.

When he turned around and spoke to her, she knew he was a boy. Emma shrugged when she learned he didn't have a band-aid, and sighed inwardly. "Oh, okay." she mumbled. She brushed a brunette strand of hair behind her ear, and smiled weakly. "That would be very nice, thank you."

As he looked at his hand, she followed his eyes, and gasped a little. Paws? It then began to register--he was a PokeMorph! She'd never seen, or noticed, really, a PokeMorph before, and was interested by his appearance. A thousand questions popped up into her head for him, though she didn't voice any.

[Basset]

"Okay, stay right here." David said as he jogged off to get a band-aid. After finally receiving a huge box from the person behind the desk, David jogged back to the girl. "Sorry I got the whole box, the person behind the front desk didn't really seem like someone who I could tell, "Sorry, I only needed one. She looked likely to bit someone's head off." he grinned, exposing his feline like teeth before realizing what he had done. Quickly he shut his lips, not wanting to scare off the only person who seemed to not notice what he was. Or at least not comment on it.

"So, I need to get going. I have a Pokemon with my name on it waiting for me." David muttered after a few minutes, his tail swishing back and forth. "So, maybe I'll see you around." Of course they wouldn't see each other around. But a boy could hope. Couldn't he?

Emma nodded, and watched him jog off. Her mind wandered while he was away. I wonder how he fits his paws into his shoes? Or does he have back paws, or feet? Does he have hairballs? she wondered, giggling a bit to herself, but quickly putting on a straight face when he returned. She smiled when he came back with the whole box, and tried to imagine what the lady could have looked like.

"It's okay, now I have enough for the road. And thank you." she replied. Emma laughed, and hardly even noticed his sharp teeth until he noticed, and she looked at her hands awkwardly.

"Oh, uhm, I'm going to Professor Cherrywood's Lab, too." the girl mumbled. How do you ask someone to travel with them? "Would you mind if...? Uh, never mind.." Emma blushed. Her shy side bled through, and she twiddled her thumbs.

[Basset]

"What? Oh. that's cool." David said, grinning again. But this time he made sure to keep his teeth hidden. "Maybe we could go together. Only if you want to that is." he added, noticing the blush. What was there to blush about? She couldn't be shy around him because she liked him. Who would like a boy Persian PokeMorph who wore pink shirts, skinny jeans, and had a tail? Not that he wasn't going to change. That would be silly. Wait, no scratch that. That couldn't happen, not at all. He couldn't change. Not now, anyway.

Glancing around, David caught a man who looked like a security guard eying him. "Let's talk somewhere else." David said grabbing the girl's hand and starting to run for the exit. It probably didn't mean anything, but someone on the run from Team Rocket couldn't be to careless.

[Zelda]

"Really? Yeah, that'd be cool." she said, smiling. "You know, because I didn't have anyone to go with and stuff, and it'd be kinda boring all by myself..." Emma's sentence trailed off, and she just decided to shut up. Waita go, slick. she thought to herself.

"Woah!" she yelped as he abruptly pulled her out the door by the hand. "Uhh, okay?" The girl followed, unsure why he wanted to get out of there so quickly. Is he running away from the government? Maybe I shouldn't hang out with him. I don't wanna go to jaiiil! she uncertainly looked at him, wondering if she should ask or not.

[Basset]

The first place that David saw was the men's bathroom, but he decided against forcing the girl into there. Next there was the women's bathroom, but he didn't want to go in there. With a sigh the boy ran outside, still keeping a tight hold onto the girl. Once outside and behind a very large tree David let go of her hand and put his hand on his knees, breathing heavily. "I'm sorry for that, but there was this security guard dude eying me. That usually isn't the best thing ever. But people usually stare at me, so it most likely was a false alarm." He grinned again, making sure to not show his teeth.

"Oh, and by the way, I'm David." he added, realizing for the first time that they didn't know each other's name. He stuck out his hand for the girl to shake, glancing left and right to make sure they were alone. Hopefully Team Rocket hadn't guessed where he would go and beaten him there. And there were probably posters everywhere showing his picture and an award, and adds on the TV and radio about his recapture. Team Rocket couldn't afford to just let him go, and David knew it.

She stumbled along behind him, one hand in his, the other holding her dress down. When she finally saw where he was headed, she stopped fumbling around and managed to keep up. Emma was panting when they finally stopped behind the tree, and had a million questions, yet no breath to ask them in.

When she finally retained her breath, she opened her mouth to ask a question, but saw his paw out to shake, Emma tried desperately not to giggle as she took it, biting her lip. The girl almost forgot to introduce herself.

"Oh, I'm Emma." she mumbled. "Uhmm... Are you running away from the government or something?" The girl asked the question she had in her head, and instantly she regretted it. What if she was right? Would he kill her so she didn't tell? "I promise I won't tell if you are!" she blurted out.

Well great. He probably thinks you're schizophrenic or crazy or something! she thought, and nearly stopped herself from telling him she wasn't crazy. Don't be in denial...embrace your insanity, Emma...

[Basset]

"Nice to meet you Emma." David said, smiling. But when she asked if he was running from the government, his smile fell. He should have known that someone would figure it out. He shouldn't have ever talked to her. He shouldn't even be here right now. What if she was a Team Rocket spy? That would be the only reason she would be so nice to him. People didn't just ignore the fact that he had a tail. But Emma seemed nice and able to keep a secret. Even more so after she said she wouldn't tell.

Glancing around to make sure no one was listening, David leaned in close to Emma. "Not the government. Something much worse than that. Team Rocket." Just mentioning the name made him shiver. Leaning back, David studied Emma's face, waiting for her reaction.

She regretted asking him that question when she saw his face fall. YOU BIG DUMMY! You've offended him! she thought. Emma put her fingers to her lips, unsure of what to do. He's never going to want to hang out with me now... She hung her head.
But her head snapped up as he said the words Team Rocket. "T-team...Rocket?" her words wavered. Emma had grown up in Sinnoh, not too familiar with the other team, but she'd heard of them on the news and in books. They were supposedly awful people who stole Pokemon, kidnapped people, and apparently created PokeMorphs.

"Ohh..." she murmured. "So they...did this to you?" The girl added quickly, "It's not that bad!...I mean, uhmm..." Emma gave herself the dope slap. Nice job... she thought to herself. IDIOT.

[Basset]

"Did you think I was born this way?" David asked, opening his arms wide, showing Emma all of him. "And it's not that bad? Ya, living with fur all over your body, a tail, claws, ears, and a jewel on your forehead isn't that bad." Rolling his eyes, David turned away from Emma and crossed his arms. Chuckling unamusedly, he watched people go into the airport and leave. "Ya, being a freak isn't to bad." He knew he was being mean, but Emma saying that it wasn't to bad had hurt. He wasn't sure why, it just had.

[Zelda]

She immediately felt remorse when he began to speak. Emma compunctiously took a step back, and bowed her head. She didn't know how to reply, so she said nothing. The brunette knew she had been rude, and was now paying for it.

"I'm...sorry." she choked out. Don't cry, don't cry! You're thirteen years old for God's sake! Stop being a baby! she chastised herself silently as she felt liquid well up in her eyes.

Emma then turned to leave, walking quickly.

"Wait!" David called after Emma. "Don't go. I shouldn't have said that, it was mean." he added, catching up with her. "I still would like to travel with you." David smiled, reaching out to grab her hand. It seemed that part of his flirtatious side was coming back. And that was a good thing, right?

"Unless of course you don't want to travel with me anymore." he said, dropping Emma's hand and his smile fading. "And I could understand why, me on the run from Team Rocket and all that."
