guidelines and punishments-
intro-
Moon Forest is a Pokémon journey community. We provide for everyone to chat, roleplay through the region, and have fun.
starting guide-
Joining the forum is very easy. You may make an account and start skimming the community immediately. Post in Introduce Yourself or any of the chat threads. After that, you just make a your characters with our form and wait for it to be accepted. You may then start posting in the roleplay boards with them.
Moon Forest is a Pokémon journey site. Many people will skim these types of communities and have a basic understanding of what they are, but sometimes it is important to explain the idea to those who are not as familiar with them. Journey sites are those that players travel through the land setup to them and usually start at a lab to get their first starter Pokémon. Our first starting point is Port Senna and then to Professor Cherrywood's Laboratory. After that a trainer goes down the boards to each place and catches Pokémon, meets new trainers, and folows the Moon Forest plot. We try very hard to make each one of the places easy and interesting to go through so each place will standout on its own.
guidelines-
Follow the rules below or you may be banned from the community. The chat box and any other form of communication on the site hold the same principles. Check these every once in a while to refresh your memory. If one is added, fixed or changed completely, it'll be an announcement.
characters-
Put depth into your characters. Maybe you'll have to think about it for a while, but remember that making a descriptive character isn't just interesting but can add some situations to a roleplay. Twist morals around, kick the cliché pasts to the curb, and add tons of details to your character's appearance. Make something so recognizable that everyone will know that it's your creation on site!
Breeders, coordinators, explorers and travelers, PokéMorphs, team members, trainers, and watchers are all eligible to enter the region.
breeders-
---Can use a breeded Pokémon as their Starter, but it must be confirmed as a status as Common in Moon Forest (check with a staff member). Either be only a breeder in general, or be a resident of Moon Forest, or both.
---You can breed two different genders of the same Pokémon you caught as they match, or with someone else.

---No PokéMorph legendaries.
---Cannot perform powerful attacks. Can only have the basic ones for the Pokémon they are. Like Scratch, Growl, Sand Attack, ect.
---Hybrids are fine, but up to three species.
---Cannot be caught by other trainers.

copyrights-
Do not claim that things off Moon Forest, its members, or other sites partnered with Moon Forest are if they aren't. This includes images, text, ideas, plots, characters, etc. They belong solely to their respective owners. It's fine to show people things and give credit as you may use something, but, regardless, stealing isn't tolerated.
basics-
Classic roleplay rules apply on this forum. Powerplay (controlling another's character) and godsmode (being invincible) are frowned upon. Use out of character signs in and out of roleplay, and remember to be polite and ask people if you may join their boards. We'd wish to be known as a "literate" community, so try not to use one-liners all the time (even though they're acceptable). We'd like longer posts to include thoughtful. clear and concise replies. Use capitalization, grammar, and punctuation to the best of your abilities, and try not to go into "l33t" or "chat speak" mode on us; we just want to understand you. But chat speak in small doses is alright. You can talk on a side note about the situation and what could possibly happen next in a roleplay, but try not to get off-topic entirely.
Be respectful to all members - no ill tolerance is permitted. If you do not like how someone has created a board then it's a wise idea not to join it. Do not crash, bash, or try to interrupt someone's roleplay if you do not approve of it.
Spamming the forum, chat box, and general chat boards with useless junk posts is frowned upon, as well. Double posting is something easy to fix. Just edit or repost if you believe a lot of people have viewed it and may not notice an edit. Try not to make several of the same type of boards - try to use the one you already have. Not to say that you can't make more than one board with the same idea, but make sure it's not several boards. Keep posting in the same one, or make a new one, and check other people's boards. No multiple accounts, either. Just edit whatever you need in your profile, and you're set.
being away-
Be patient if someone else doesn't reply to your board immediately. Check to see if they've mentioned being away. Two options are helpful if they are not on vacation: bump the board once every twenty-four hours or send the person a PM. If it's longer than this perhaps just continue with your roleplay. You will not be considered inactive until you aren't spotted for two months on a normal basis (unless you have notified us in Away Forever), and further will be taken from there. You will be sent a message saying your account may be deleted in a specific amount of time, so try to log in soon after to prevent it.
rating:
This forum is for G, PG, or PG-13 rating, and we trust that you know what we mean. Violence, romance, and language all count for the categories. No massive bloodshed, no crude romance scenes, and no trying to alert our filters to kick in. If you need help deciding about your posts or someone else's, contact a staff member. If something is found to be inappropriate, or trying to be used in a different spelling, it will be censored.
pokémon-
Staff members can only make Pokémon, items, money, or others objects to appear, and another staff member must do the same for another. Take what we give you, don't ask for what you only want. They also must tell you when a Pokémon raises a level and/or what you get after the battle for a Pokémon. If they do not and the correct conditions for any needs are gotten, then please inform them.
punishments-
Everyone here wants to a pleasant roleplaying experience. They do not want to encounter anyone ruining their good time. Please do not blame the staff if we do have to punish a member. Each one of us makes the decision on our own in good reason because we would have given you a good amount of chances to try and lead your way off. You will be notified immediately if you break any of the following. If you have any of the following to report, please don't hesitate to contact a staff member. If you are a staff member who has broken these rules they will be handled in the same fashion. It doesn't matter the length of time you've been here. Everything depends on the situation on how they're handled.

2) Purposely trying to harass to someone as cursing at someone, saying/posting obscene about them in text/pictures, and trying to provoke them.
